About

I live in England, in a small town on the South East coast, and am a wife and a mother to two almost-adult sons. My life is home-centred, (I have a little online business where I sell a variety of made-by-me items), peaceful and sheltered, a relief after years of working out in the hurly-burly world.

It's a day-by-day walk of faith, trusting in God to provide as He has promised. (Working with your hands, on a small scale, does not bring riches and my tendency is to worry.)

Until recently, my business was the focus of my life but I believe God has other plans for me  - plans to do something that brings Him all the glory and furthers His purposes - and so I'm waiting (not easy, I'm so impatient) while He works His will out.

And as I wait, I will write.

The purpose of this blog is to share some of what I learn in my Bible studies and a few bits and pieces about a living, as a Christian woman, a quiet Godly life in today's world.

I hope this blog will be a gentle celebration of the precious gift of faith that God has given me. I am so grateful that He has poured out His mercy and His grace and His love, and saved me from wretchedness and eternal misery.

My blog name is taken from Philippians 4:8.

Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.

The good and the pure and the lovely refers to God's Word, the Bible. And so my hope, with this blog, is to glorify God and perhaps also provide encouragement to other Bible believing women.
